#R1##TD# Hofman shoots in and bounces Bowman off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.#ES2# Bowman pushes Hofman off and scrambles back to his feet.
#TD# Hofman closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. #SUB# Hofman is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Bowman looks calm but he's in trouble here. Hofman gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Bowman is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Hofman lets go of the hold and Bowman can pop his arm back in it's socket.

#R1# Hofman shoots in but no luck this time. Rodrigues looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!#TD# Hofman shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hofman showed some decent athleticism there. #SUB# Hofman is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rodrigues is just riding it out for now. Hofman eventually gives up the hold. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#SUB# Hofman is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Rodrigues is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

#R1# Balayan displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hofman. Hofman moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Hofman shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Balayan pinned against the cage. Balayan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Balayan is looking for the big counter here. Balayan connects with a leg kick. Hofman looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hofman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Balayan's waist but Balayan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hofman off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Denis Hofman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hofman shoots in for a double leg but Balayan sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Balayan has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far. Hofman has his takedown stuffed and Balayan counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Hofman takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.#T1# Hofman on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Hofman takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.#ROC2# Hofman is rocked! Hofman tries for a takedown but Balayan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Oh Hofman is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Hofman fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Hofman seems to have got his legs back now. Hofman is breathing heavily. Balayan fakes the leg kick and cracks Hofman in the body. Garegin Balayan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A slapping leg kick lands for Balayan.

Balayan lands with a nice body kick. A slapping body kick lands there for Balayan. Hofman shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Balayan as he avoids it easily. Hofman looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hofman on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Balayan. Balayan obviously looking to wear him down.

Balayan lets Hofman back up to his feet, looking for a finish!#T2# Hofman has his takedown stuffed and Balayan counters with a nice body shot. Balayan ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Hofman out cold! The fight is over!

#R1# Hofman slips a jab and a cross from Andreev.
Hofman tries to score a power double leg takedown but Andreev sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hofman somewhat. Andreev lunges at Hofman with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Hofman's hand. Andreev dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Andreev cracks Hofman with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Andreev throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Hofman feinted with a counter takedown. Hofman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Andreev's waist but Andreev gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hofman off to one side. Alexey Andreev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Andreev lands with an uppercut that bounces Hofman off the cage and back into range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hofman tries for a takedown but Andreev circles away easily and Andreev counters with a lovely straight right hand! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Denis Hofman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hofman is trying hard to land a takedown here. Andreev sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Hofman takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Hofman closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Andreev fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hofman looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Hofman fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Hofman is trying hard to land a takedown here. Andreev sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hofman is defended easily by Andreev. Hofman looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Hofman takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
#T2# A jab lands there for Andreev. Hofman on the wrong end of a nice jab. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hofman shoots for a double leg takedown but Andreev sprawls well. He's pushed Hofman's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Hofman takes one on the button. Hofman shoots in for a takedown but Andreev shows good takedown defense. The crowd cheers as Andreev lands an impressive looking overhand right. Hofman doesn't seem phased though. A jab lands there for Andreev.#ROC2# Hofman is rocked! Hofman tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Andreev manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Andreev lands a nice shot that snaps Hofman's head back.
Oh Hofman is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Andreev thuds a left hand into Hofman's body. Andreev fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hofman looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. A left lands for Andreev. Andreev pounces like a tiger and cracks Hofman with a vicious hook! Hofman is down but not out! Andreev follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

#R1# Khajo digs a good body shot into Hofman's ribs. Hofman shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Khajo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Hofman looks up at the clock. Bad move! Khajo lands a right hand from hell, dropping Hofman. Khajo pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tata Khajo! A less than humble Tata Khajo misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.

Hofman changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.#TD# Hofman decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.#SUB# Hofman is working for a submission of some sort.
#SUB# Hofman is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Rivers doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hofman. #SUB# Hofman looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB# Hofman is working for a kimura but Rivers is defending it quite comfortably.

#R1# Hofman tries to clinch but Pantera moves away and Pantera counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.#KD2# Pantera lands a left and a right that send Hofman crashing to the mat, dazed. Pantera thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!#ROC2# Hofman is rocked! Pantera finds Hofman's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Hofman flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Pantera lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Hofman will be OK.

#TD2# Hofman looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Hofman lands a couple of decent looking shots.#SU2# Hofman stands up and waves to Silva to follow him. #TD2# Hofman shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Silva's guard.#ROC2# Silva is rocked! Hofman postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Hofman makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Oh Silva is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!#SUB# Silva has an active guard here but Hofman has managed to pass into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Silva trying to control here.
