It's a sloppy attempt though and Nicomedez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. #SUB# Richardson is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Nicomedez rolls with it to try and escape but Richardson cranks on the arm and Nicomedez is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. #CUT2# It looks like Steven Richardson has been cut. Richardson wants to get back to full guard. Richardson is working hard here to advance position. Ganbaatar wants to take a breather but Richardson is having none of it. Richardson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ganbaatar is working away from the top position though.#ES# Richardson pushes Ganbaatar off and gets back to his feet.#TD2# Ganbaatar fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Richardson to the ground. Ganbaatar is now in Richardson's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!#SUB# Richardson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ganbaatar gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Ganbaatar trying to control but Richardson is working from the bottom. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ganbaatar can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Wang is in Richardson's guard.#SU2# Wang gets to his feet. Richardson looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Richardson misses with a head kick.
Richardson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.#TD2# Wang feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Richardson pulls Wang in close to prevent any damage. #SU2# Wang stands up from Richardson's guard - Wang perhaps looking for a knockout. #TD2# Wang closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. #R1##TD2# Amer shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Amer showed some decent athleticism there. Richardson tries to kick Amer off in order to stand up. Amer Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Amer is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. You can see the frustration on Richardson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Richardson throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Richardson is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Richardson sneaks back into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Richardson punching from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB2# Amer looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
