Kohlahoff is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Simard with a body shot.
Kohlahoff throws a combination. Simard tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
A chopping leg kick lands by Kohlahoff.
Simard misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Simard looks for a takedown but Kohlahoff sprawls well.
That kick from Kohlahoff tenderised Simard's leg. Simard is trying to keep his angry face on.
Simard shoots in for a takedown but Kohlahoff shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rene Simard. That's going to take a lot out of him.
