Salvador throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Salvador staying out of range there. A little feinted left hand from Salvador on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Salvador lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Carter misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Salvador looks to land a left hand but Carter moved out of range nicely.#TD2# Carter shoots in and gets a takedown into Salvador's guard. Carter prevents Salvador from getting back to his feet. #T1# Carter postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Carter stops Salvador from standing up. Carter in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Salvador definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Carter throwing strikes but missing. Carter trying to control the position from guard on top but Salvador is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Carter postures up and lands a big shot to Salvador's brow. Carter throws a big elbow that misses. Carter landing with the ground and pound. #T2# Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Carter looking to sit in guard and control but Salvador gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. #REVR# Salvador is looking to stand up but Carter won't let him. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Salvador has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Carter is proving hard to escape from. Carter has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. George Salvador is winning the standup battle so far. Carter shoots in for a double leg but Salvador sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Salvador fires out a quick counter leg kick but Carter just manages to avoid it. Carter throws a jab when Salvador was well out of range. Salvador is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Carter shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Salvador as he jumps to the side. Salvador tried to counter with a leg kick but Carter avoided it. Carter lands with a hook. Salvador tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Salvador walks into a straight right hand from Carter.#T2# Salvador lands with a kick to the temple. Carter shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Carter doesn't succeed with the takedown and Salvador counters with a leg kick. Carter tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Salvador swivels and escapes. The fighters circle, before Salvador throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Carter's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Salvador lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick & Punches). George Salvador! A less than humble George Salvador misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.

#R1# Carter swings for the body but Wowie moves out of range.
John Carter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Carter goes for a double leg but Wowie avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Wowie continues to drive forward. Wowie appears to be looking for a big counter. Carter shoots for a double leg takedown but Wowie sprawls well. He's pushed Carter's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Carter scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Carter's coach down at Pablo's Boxing Academy was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Carter's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Carter fails with a takedown attempt. Maui Wowie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Carter. Wowie keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Wowie displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Carter. #T4# Wowie walks into a stiff left hand from Carter. Carter digs a good body shot into Wowie's ribs. Carter shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wowie pinned against the cage. Wowie gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Carter throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wowie's waist but Wowie gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Carter off to one side. It looked like Wowie was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Carter looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Carter takes one on the chin but seems OK.
#CUT# It looks like John Carter has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Carter has his takedown stuffed and Wowie cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but John Carter will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on John Carter's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. #R2# Horrible takedown attempt by Carter or perhaps it was just good defense by Wowie, which made it look bad. As Carter looks to move away, Wowie throws a big counter combo but Carter just gets out of the way. Carter misses with a takedown #KD# and Wowie counters with a crisp one two that drops Carter! Wowie thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Carter to his feet! Carter is in big trouble!#ROC# Carter is rocked! Carter ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wowie moves away. Carter is still on wobbly legs! Can Wowie finish him? Carter shoots and misses and Wowie counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Carter badly! Wowie follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Carter out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Wowie finished him against the cage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Maui Wowie! A relieved looking Maui Wowie thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

#R1# Carter slips under a jab from Dincht. Left hook, right uppercut from Dincht. Dincht throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Carter sees it coming and avoids it easily. Carter has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Pablo's Boxing Academy in the buildup to the fight. Carter with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Dincht to score with a decent uppercut. Dincht misses with an uppercut. Carter staying out of range there. Dincht stuffs the takedown. Carter with a poor takedown and Dincht counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Carter fails with the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Carter. That's going to take a lot out of him. Carter fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Crunch! Dincht slams his shin into Carter's torso.#CL2# Dincht rushes Carter and presses him up against the cage. Dincht lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Carter backwards. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Dincht stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. A nice left hand lands by Dincht.

Carter is breathing heavily.#T1# Dincht working some nice short punches in the clinch. Carter drops down looking for an ankle pick but Dincht pulls his leg out and moves away.
Dincht thows a body kick. Carter tries to catch it but that hurt him. The fighters circle momentarily. Dincht darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Dincht feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Carters jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Dincht lands with a thumping leg kick.
Carter shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dincht but Dincht pushes him off and we're back to square one. Dincht let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. A jab lands there for Dincht. A looping hook to the body misses from Dincht. Carter does a little dance to reset his feet. Dincht slaps away a takedown attempt from Carter, before circling back to the center of the mat. Carter with a lazy takedown attempt and Dincht counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Nice straight punches there by Dincht. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Dincht. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dincht looks to score with a jab to the body but Carter is just out of range.#T2# Dincht fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Decent striking displayed by Dincht there. A jab from Dincht finds it's way through Carter's defenses. Carter tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dincht sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Carter somewhat.#CL2# Dincht has taken the fight to the clinch.

We're back to striking at a distance. Carter takes a swing at Dincht's ribcage but misses. Dincht throws a body punch but Carter moves out of range. Dincht misses with an uppercut. Carter saw that one coming. Carter drops down looking for a counter takedown but Dincht sprawls and moves away. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Dincht lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Carter has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Carter and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Carter slips under a jab from Dincht.#T3# Carter shoots for a takedown but Dincht saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Carter takes one to the chin there. Dincht pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Carter had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Carter closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Carter moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Carter slips a jab from Dincht. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Carter fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dincht avoids it really well and circles away. Dincht flicks out a counter leg kick but Carter steps away. Dincht defending well as Carter loads up on a big left hand. It seemed like Dincht was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.#T4# Carter walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Carter moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. No luck for Carter with that takedown attempt. #CL2# Dincht gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Dincht lands an uppercut. A right handed body shot lands from Dincht.

Carter tries to score a power double leg takedown but Stefanovic sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Carter somewhat. We've been informed that Carter has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Stefanovic keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Carter has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Petrovs tries to score a power double leg takedown but Carter sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Petrovs somewhat. Petrovs throws a right and a left that Carter avoids nicely. Petrovs tries to clinch but Carter is having none of it. A head kick by Petrovs misses #TD2# and Carter counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Carter pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. A looping hook to the body misses from Torosian. Carter does a little dance to reset his feet. Carter fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Torosian throws a jab but it's blocked by Carter. Carter gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Torosian cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Carter fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Torosian avoids it really well and circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Carter. That's going to take a lot out of him. Carter will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. #R1##TD2# Carter feints and as Monira raises his hands in defense, Carter changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Carter is working Monira over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Carter landing some decent shots from guard. Monira will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Monira will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Oh but he could get punished here because Barger has locked up a guillotine! Barger's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Carter is holding on here and Barger must be using up a lot of energy. Carter has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Barger gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carter working the ground and pound. Carter lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
