We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Steve looking to ground and pound but Lancier is blocking nicely. Steve throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

It looked like Jedrzejczyk wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Lancier throws an ugly left hook that misses

Coming up we have a bantamweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Tristan Lancier (ranked 8652 p4p, 322 weight class) and Jack McDonald (ranked 4936 p4p, 220 weight class). McDonald has chosen Three Little Birds as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the bantamweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 5 wins and 2 losses; Tristan Lancier! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 2 losses; Jack McDonald! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Marco Blurström.

We've heard reports from his gym mates at The Coffee Shop that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

#R1# A decent looking cross lands there for Lê. Lancier looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.#CL2# Lê gets in close and instigates a clinch. Lê lands with a left to the head. A short right from Lê on the inside. A right handed body shot lands from Lê.
Lê digs a right hand into Lancier's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Lancier's gas tank. Lê misses with a hook from the clinch. Lê digs a right hand underneath Lancier's ribcage. Lancier let out a lung full of air as it connected. Lancier blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Lê throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Lanciers head. Lê working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Lê is working Lancier over against the cage. Lancier is working for takedown but Lê is calmly controlling the position for now. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lê lands with a right to the head. Lancier's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Lê lands with a short shot to the head. Lê lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Lancier or not. Lê lands a right hand that snaps the head of Lancier backwards. Lê scores with an uppercut up the middle. Lancier fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Lê dips down and scores with a jab to the body. The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Lancier leaves Steel with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Steel fails with the takedown and Lancier counters by moving into the clinch. Steel is trying to pull guard but Lancier turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
