Hammer stuffs the takedown attempt from Cat. Cat gets slowly back to his feet.
Hammer throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Hammer lands a really nice looking cross but Cat seems unphased.
Hammer tests Cat's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Cat takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.#KD#
Hammer drops Cat with a right and a left! Hammer comes rushing in but Cat regains his composure and manages to keep Hammer in guard.

Hammer is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hammer controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Hammer is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Cat really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hammer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hammer keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Cat's head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hammer passes Cat's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Hammer uses his free foot to push down on Cat's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Cat. #T3##SUB#
Hammer is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Cat to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Cat shrugs it off.

Hammer working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Cat looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Hammer! Submission of the night perhaps?

Randy connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Cat fails with the takedown
enabling Randy to counter with a crisp jab. #KD#
Randy drops Cat with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Cat looks back up at him and smiles so Randy waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Randy lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Cat at a distance.

Randy lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Cat is rocked!
Cat is trying to push Randy away but Randy has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Cat told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.

Cat breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Cat dives in for a single leg takedown but Randy sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Cat jumps guard but Randy stands there with Cat around his waist. Cat gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Happy Randy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Whiskas Cat.#KD#
Randy drops Cat onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Cat is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Cat is looking to break free of the clinch but Randy has double underhooks.
Randy lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Randy throws a big uppercut that drops Cat! More strikes from Randy and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Cat lies dazed against the cage as Randy celebrates with his cornermen!

Cat gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Still in half guard, Cat seems content to control.
Cat's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
