#R1# Harley shoots and misses #CL2# and Hijins counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Hijins. Harley jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hijins walks away with a smile on his face. Harley gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Hijins shoots in for a takedown but Harley shows good takedown defense. #TD2# Hijins closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Harley quickly recovers to half guard. Harley knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hijins on the ground. Hijins content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#T1# Harley flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Hijins performing his best blanket impression for a moment. #SU2# Hijins decides to stand up. Harley throws a lazy head kick #CL2# and Hijins holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Hijins has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Hijins stays in close to Harley's body and controls the position. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hijins is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Harley has momentary wrist control but Hijins slips an elbow through the middle.#SUB# Harley has his foot on Hijins's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hijins works his way back into a safe position though. and Hijins counters with a head kick. That will keep Harley thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! #T3# Harley fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Hijins is out of range. #TD2# Hijins drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Harley wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Hijins manages to pass to side control. #REVR# Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Hijins in particular looking to stall. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Hijins passes the guard and advances to mount! Hijins in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
#T4# Hijins tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Hijins's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Harley tries to hold on but Hijins pushes him away. Hijins controlling his opponent. Hijins with good strikes from the mount here! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

#R1# Hijins throws a series of strikes that have Sears backpedaling.
#CUT2# It looks like Kelly Sears has been cut. A decent looking body kick lands there for Hijins.#TD2# Hijins looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Sears pulls Hijins in close to his closed guard and prevents Hijins from doing any damage or advancing position. Sears looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hijins is one step ahead there. #SUB2# Hijins is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Hijins is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Hijins wants to control from the top but Sears keeps moving. Hijins throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sears works some decent striking defense from the bottom. #T1# Hijins controlling from the top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sears is striking off his back. Hijins thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
