#R1# Hansen fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Hansen tries to clinch but Son is having none of it. Son throws out a counter right but Hansen avoids it with no problem. Son is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Hansen shoots in but Son avoids the takedown attempt easily.#CL# Hansen pushes Son up against the cage in a clinch. Son is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.#BC2# Son escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hansen throws a right hand that Son ducks under and follows up with a left that Son also avoids with ease. Son changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Son keeps the fight on the outside. Hansen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Son tries to avoid it but Hansen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Son to the ground. Son escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gorm Hansen. That's going to take a lot out of him.#T1# Hansen fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Hansen takes one to the chin there. Hansen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Son swats him away and circles back towards the center. Son swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Hansen on the wrong end of a nice jab. Hansen shoots in for a takedown but Son shows good takedown defense. As Hansen backs off Son throws a huge counter combo but Hansen manages to avoid it all. Son lands with an overhand left.#ROC2# Hansen is rocked! Hansen tries to clinch up. Son lands an overhand right. Oh Hansen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Gorm Hansen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Son engages and cracks Hansen with a massive lead left hook - Hansen tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Son is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
