Nate Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Diaz fails with the takedown#TD2# and Bouyer counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Bouyer. Bouyer slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Bouyer prevents Diaz from escaping the position. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Diaz tries to buck Bouyer off but Bouyer is having none of it.#SUB2# Bouyer is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Diaz looks calm but he's in trouble here. Bouyer gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Diaz is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Bouyer lets go of the hold and Diaz can pop his arm back in it's socket.

#R1##TD# Mendes looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Mendes uses his free foot to push down on Diaz's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Diaz. Mendes moves to the back position. A lull in the action here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#SUB# Mendes has got one arm under Diaz's chin. This could be trouble... Diaz trying to control the other hand but Mendes gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Diaz has tapped out! The fight is over!

#R1# Boser with a lazy takedown attempt #CL2# and Diaz counters by moving into the clinch. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Diaz as Boser tries to tie him up. Diaz is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Boser stalls. #BC2# Diaz pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.#CL2# Diaz has managed to clinch.
Boser tries to score a body lock takedown but Diaz shows good agility there to stay on his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Diaz has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. A frustrated look appears on Boser's face as he tries to break the clinch. Diaz wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Boser keeps control of Diaz as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. #T1##TD2# Diaz pulls guard. Boser trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Diaz not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

No, Boser has managed to get both his arms back between Diaz's legs - danger averted. Boser postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Boser doesn't succeed with the takedown and Diaz counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Boser is breathing heavily. Boser misses with a takedown attempt - Diaz sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Diaz shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Diaz clobbers Boser with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Boser fails with the takedown and Diaz connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. No luck with that takedown attempt from Boser. Boser walks forward, straight into a front kick from Diaz. Boser tries to clinch but Diaz is having none of it. Despite the aggression on Diaz's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Diaz fails with the takedown. Boser throws a nice looking combination but Diaz bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Diaz scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Boser tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Diaz counters with a straight right hand. Boser tries to clinch but Diaz moves away and Diaz counters with a three punch combo that has Boser backing up. Boser nods at Diaz to acknowledge the strikes. Nice body kick from Diaz. Diaz has been the more effective fighter overall so far. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Boser has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.#T2# Boser tries to clinch but fails miserably and Diaz counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. A thudding body kick lands there by Diaz!

Boser shoots and misses and Diaz counters with a stiff right hand. Diaz bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. And Diaz tries to counter it with a takedown but Boser pushes his down on his head and steps out. Diaz moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Boser tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Boser has his takedown stuffed and Diaz counters with a stiff right hand. Boser misses with a takedown and Diaz makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Diaz has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.#T3# Diaz works over Boser's head and body with a nice combination. Boser seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. #TD# so Nurmagomedov counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Diaz can't keep his opponent in guard - Nurmagomedov advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nurmagomedov slows the pace down in half guard. #SUB2# Diaz looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Nurmagomedov controlling the action here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nurmagomedov is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount!
