McGillicuddy throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Brown uses good head movement to avoid the hook from McGillicuddy. McGillicuddy scores with a jab. McGillicuddy keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Brown swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
#CL# and McGillicuddy counters by moving into the clinch. #BC# McGillicuddy breaks the clinch.
Brown stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from McGillicuddy.#CL# Brown gets tackled into the cage by McGillicuddy. McGillicuddy maintains the clinch. McGillicuddy scores with an uppercut up the middle. Brown jumps guard but McGillicuddy stands there with Brown around his waist. Brown gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Shamus McGillicuddy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jay Brown. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Nice body punch from McGillicuddy. #BC# McGillicuddy manages to break the clinch.

McGillicuddy cracks Brown with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Brown tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but McGillicuddy pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Brown is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

#R1# Gonzales scores with a nice strike. The fighters circling - Gonzales throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Gonzales throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Brown uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Gonzales. Gonzales defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Brown. Brown lands with an uppercut that bounces Gonzales off the cage and back into range. Brown shoots in but no luck this time. Brown has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Brown there as he acknowledges the shot.#CL2# Gonzales forces Brown back against the cage and clinches. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Gonzales creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. #ROC2# Brown is rocked!#CUT2# It looks like Jay Brown has been cut. Gonzales lands a big knee! That's hurt Brown! Oh, he's all over the place! Gonzales lands another knee that sends Brown to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!

After the fight, Luis Gonzales was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

#R1##TD# Sergeant fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Brown to the ground. Sergeant is now in Brown's guard. Sergeant slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sergeant wants to control from the top but Brown keeps moving. #SUB2# Brown is looking for a triangle but Sergeant pushes his legs off easily.
#SUB2# Brown is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Sergeant has his hands clasped together but Brown extends and breaks Sergeant's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Brown.

#R1# Grits connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Grits ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Grits looks like he wants to counter punch here. Brown throws a front kick aimed at Grits's knee but Grits avoids it well. Brown looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Grits ducks right into an uppercut from Brown. Brown throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Grits's waist but Grits gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Brown off to one side. Jay Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Brown is trying hard to land a takedown here. Grits sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. A jab lands there for Grits. Brown changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Grits tries to avoid it but Brown manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Grits to the ground. Grits escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jay Brown. That's going to take a lot out of him. Brown shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Grits sprawls well. Grits wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Brown gets slowly back to his feet. Brown misses with a hook. Grits ducked under it nicely. Grits scores with a jab. Grits looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Brown looks to land a left hand but Living Dread moved out of range nicely. Brown wants to clinch. Brown misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Living Dread.
#TD# Brown gets the takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Living Dread tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Brown wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Living Dread defending against the ground and pound. Brown trying to control the position but Living Dread is working away. You can see the frustration on Living Dread's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Tim looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Tim slips a jab from Brown. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Tim! But no joy. The fight stays on the outside here - Brown looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Tim looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Brown darts in trying to clinch and Tim cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jay Brown. Well Brown has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... It's pretty deep but Tim still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Tim has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! Tim will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Brown takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Tim tries to advance to mount but Brown denies him. Brown taking a bit of punishment here - Tim scoring with strikes. Tim tries to advance to mount but Brown denies him. #T2# Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
