Tomson tries to get to his feet but Shermann is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Tomson in his guard. Tomson looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Shermann has a closed guard, preventing Tomson from standing up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tomson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. He's got his arms around Riverson's waist but Riverson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Shermann off to one side. Riverson stuffs the takedown attempt from Shermann. Shermann gets slowly back to his feet. John Riverson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shermann is trying hard to land a takedown here. Riverson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Harold Shermann. That's going to take a lot out of him. Riverson throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
#CUT2# It looks like Harold Shermann has been cut. Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Riverson! Shermann is out on his feet! Riverson rushes in and throws more strikes. Tomson did well to prevent Shermann getting side control. Tomson on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Damian Kita has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Harold Shermann. Kita looks to land a combination. Shermann sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.#CUT# It looks like Harold Shermann has been cut. Shermann tries to clinch and Dumont counters with a nice low kick that buckles Shermann's knee momentarily. Shermann should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Dumont scores with a sloppy right hand. Shermann should have avoided that one. Dumont throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Shermann shoots in looking for a takedown. Dumont tries to sprawl out of it but Shermann keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dumont manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Nice body kick from Dumont. Shermann looks winded! Look low, kick high! Dumont uses the oldest trick in the book to send Shermann tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Dumont is absolutely delighted - when Shermann wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!

That was a close round but I would say that Salomon Nevalainen will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
