Horrible takedown attempt by Mormont or perhaps it was just good defense by Coldbane, which made it look bad.
Coldbane darts in and out, connecting with a jab. #CUT#
It looks like Jeor Mormont has been cut.
Coldbane doesn't manage to clinch there - Mormont circles away.
Coldbane tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Mormont manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Coldbane creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Mormont with a big uppercut! Mormont tries to clinch up but Coldbane pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Mormont to the mat! Mormont covers up and Coldbane unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Techi displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Mormont throws out the jab.
Techi is looking to counter the offense by Mormont and move into the clinch.

Mormont closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Techi is working to tighten his grip on Mormont's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Mormont has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Techi is really squeezing tight and eventually Mormont passes out! Techi breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

A swing and a miss from Mormont.
Mormont works Acciarito's body with a nice hook.
Acciarito tries to clinch but Mormont is having none of it.

and Mormont counters with a nice double leg into side control. Acciarito won't be happy with that.

Mormont happy to just control the position for now.
Acciarito felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Acciarito really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mormont. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Acciarito bucks up and tries to throw Mormont off but instead Mormont has got his back!
Mormont has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Mormont just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

A very excited looking Pietro Acciarito rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
