#R1##CL2# Hong tries to keep at a distance but Akiyama has taken the fight into the clinch. Akiyama using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Hong has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Akiyama lands a nice elbow. Hong is trying to push Akiyama away but Akiyama has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Akiyama has Hong pushed against the cage. Akiyama scores with a knee to the head.
Hong is trying to pull guard but Akiyama has him pressed against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Akiyama lands a damaging elbow. #T1# The referee calls for Akiyama to work.
Hong takes an elbow to the temple. Akiyama landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Akiyama lands an elbow inside. Akiyama creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Hong 's defenses. Hong on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Hong is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. #REVR# We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Akiyama can do anything to dispel that myth. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hong lands a nice short elbow.#T2# Hong passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Akiyama! #SUB# Hong has control of Akiyama's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Akiyama regains control of the situation pretty easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Akiyama is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Hong wants to control the pace but Akiyama is squirming around nicely. Akiyama tries to buck Hong off but he can't manage it. #SUB# Hong is working for a guillotine from mount but Akiyama frees his head quite easily.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Akiyama is trying to stand. Akiyama really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hong . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#SUB# Hong has isolated one of Akiyama's arms. Akiyama looking to fight him off but Hong twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
