#R1# Giro fails with the takedown. Mauler looks to throw the jab but Giro is out of range. #TD2# Mauler changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Giro looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Giro is looking for a sweep. Mauler scoring with punches and elbows. Giro pushes Mauler away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Mauler gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Giro is trying to improve his position. Mauler prevents Giro from escaping the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mauler lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Mauler working away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Giro takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Mauler really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Giro. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Mauler scoring with punches from side control. Mauler working the ground and pound. Giro wants to control but Mauler postures up.#T1# Giro throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land. Giro tries to escape but Mauler is in control. Mauler scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Giro to see if he's OK. Giro on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Giro is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mauler winds up and cracks Giro with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Mauler not landing any meaningful shots this time. Mauler is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Mauler drops an elbow to the side of Giro's head. Mauler takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Giro slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Giro is breathing heavily.#SUB# Mauler sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Giro doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Mauler paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Giro - great work!

#R1# Mauler leaves Latar with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. As Latar backs off Mauler throws a huge counter combo but Latar manages to avoid it all. Mauler lands with an overhand left.#CUT2# It looks like Maciej Latar has been cut. A punch lands to the side of Latar 's head but he takes it in his stride.#CL# Latar moves into the clinch. Mauler goes for a takedown attempt but Latar pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Latar shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mauler as he avoids it easily. Mauler keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Maciej Latar. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mauler pounces like a tiger and cracks Latar with a vicious hook! Latar is down but not out! Mauler follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

#R1# Mauler scores with a jab. Nadar acknowledges it with a nod of the head. #CUT# It looks like Vijay Nadar has been cut. Mauler fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Nadar looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Nadar doesn't succeed with the takedown and Mauler counters with a left and a right that stings Nadar. #TD2# Nadar closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Nadar prevents Mauler from escaping the position. Mauler stops Nadar from passing to mount. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nadar prevents Mauler from escaping the position.#SUB2# Nadar looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. #SUB2# Mauler is wriggling around trying to escape but Nadar has hooked up a rear naked choke! Is it over??? Is it... you're damn right it is! Mauler taps out and Nadar picks up the big win! Great work there by Nadar!
