Nice sprawl there from Phillips as Pringle shoots in. Pringle connects with a crisp jab. A punch lands to the side of Phillips 's head but he takes it in his stride. Pringle misses with a looping left.#TD2# Pringle tries to sprawl but Phillips drives through with a takedown into half guard. Pringle wants to control but Phillips is keeping busy and won't allow it. Phillips controlling the action here. Phillips thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Pringle keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Pringle works his way to full guard. Good work. Phillips is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Phillips must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.#T1# Pringle is trying to keep Phillips in close.

He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Phillips was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Phillips content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. The ground and pound from Phillips seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pringle takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Pringle can't do much from the bottom here. Phillips really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pringle. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Phillips creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Pringle sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. #T3# Phillips landing strikes. Pringle can't do much from the bottom here. Phillips trying to control the action but Pringle is working from the bottom. Pringle is trying to improve his position. Phillips in side control lands a decent elbow. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Phillips remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Pringle utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Phillips wants to control from the top but Pringle keeps moving. Pringle trying to keep a closed guard but Phillips is proving a slippery customer.
Phillips slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Pringle wants to sweep here but Phillips controlling him for the moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Phillips controlling from the top position. You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Phillips doesn't succeed with the takedown and Pringle makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Pringle looks to land a left hand but Phillips moved out of range nicely. Sloppy strikes from Phillips. Those never looked like landing. Phillips takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Phillips doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Phillips changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pringle tries to avoid it but Phillips manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pringle to the ground. Pringle escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. #TD2# Phillips fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Pringle to the ground. Phillips is now in Pringle's guard. Phillips pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pringle is keeping the position for now. Pringle lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.#REVR# Pringle trying to control but Phillips is working from the bottom. Phillips is looking to advance position but Pringle won't allow it. Pringle is looking to control Phillips's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Pringle avoid being mounted? Pringle avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Phillips. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.#T4# A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Phillips fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

It looked like Pringle was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.#TD2# Phillips closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Pringle to the mat! #R1# Pringle lands a jab-cross combination. #CUT# It looks like Radoslav Petrov has been cut. Petrov looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Pringle scores with the left hand. Petrov knows he should have avoided that one. Pringle slips a jab and a cross from Petrov.
Petrov ducks under a wild hook from Pringle. The fighters circling - Petrov throws out the jab but it was never going to land. A slow jab from Petrov misses its intended target. Petrov misses with an uppercut. Pringle defending well as Petrov loads up on a big left hand. Pringle throws a right and a left that Petrov avoids nicely. Petrov throws a looping overhand right but Pringle ducks down to avoid it. Pringle ducks under a wild hook from Petrov. Petrov misses with a double jab
and Pringle counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Petrov just misses with a punch to the body.
An attempted straight right counter from Pringle misses the target. Pringle bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Radoslav Petrov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pringle closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. #T1# Petrov moves forwards but Pringle connects with a nice, crisp jab. Pringle bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Petrov's head. Petrov misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Pringle.
Petrov's coach down at School of Hard Knocks (Elite Training for $225) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Petrov's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Petrov is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Petrov takes a jab right on the kisser.
Petrov throws a jab when Pringle was well out of range. Pringle cracks Petrov with a good jab. Pringle throws a body shot but no joy. Pringle connects with a body shot. Petrov throws a hook to the side of Pringle's head but Pringle sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Petrov takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Petrov throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Pringle swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Pringle keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Pringle is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Petrov connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pringle lands a jab.#ROC# Petrov is rocked! Pringle lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Petrov out cold! Petrov is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!
