Vandari swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Vandari tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sunderland sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Vandari somewhat. Sunderland ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Sunderland comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Vandari keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

and Grieg counters with a thumping low kick. Grieg fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Vandari has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Grieg keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Vandari has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. #R1# Vandari dives in for a single leg takedown but Rogers sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Vandari has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Vandari connects with a crisp jab. #TD2# Vandari feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.#SUB# Rogers throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Rogers can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Vandari controls the pace. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rogers controls Vandari momentarily but Vandari frees himself. #T1# Rogers wants to control but Vandari passes easily into half guard.
#SU2# Vandari stands up out of the half guard. Vandari swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Vandari with a lazy takedown attempt and Rogers counters with a head kick. That will keep Vandari thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Vandari is trying hard to land a takedown here. Rogers sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Emmett Rogers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Klaus Vandari. Vandari fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rogers avoids it really well and circles away. As Vandari looks to move away, Rogers throws a big counter combo but Vandari just gets out of the way.#T2# Vandari will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.#CL# Rogers darts in and clinches Vandari up against the cage. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Rogers takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Vandari is trying to pull guard but Rogers turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Rogers drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

#T4# Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Vandari sitting in guard here, content to control. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
