Oh, that's bad for Schmidt! Schmidt manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Hopkins trying to hold on to Schmidt's head to control him but Schmidt postures up.
#SUB2# Schmidt is looking for a kimura but Hopkins is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Schmidt to get the leverage. Schmidt is nestled in close to Hopkins, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Hopkins taking some punishment here, with Schmidt in his half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Schmidt lands a nice short elbow.#ROC2# Hopkins is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hopkins tries to get to full guard but Schmidt has control of the leg. Schmidt lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Oh Hopkins is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!#SUB2# Schmidt seems to be looking for submissions.

Schmidt lands a big elbow - Hopkins is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Schmidt!
