Hamhock has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Steele avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Steele holding his opponent close, against the cage.

Hamhock is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Steele is defending well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ken Hamhock. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Steele is pushing Hamhock up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Steele stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Steele gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Steele. Hamhock drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Steele gets the underhooks and prevents it.

It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Hamhock manages to end up in side control.#T2# Steele is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Hamhock is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Steele's shoulder. That is not cool. Steele wants to get back to his feet. Hamhock grinds an elbow into Steele's temple. Steele can't do much from the bottom here. Steele takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Hamhock has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Steele bucks up and tries to throw Hamhock off but instead Hamhock has got his back! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Steele takes a big shot to the side of the head.
#SUB# Hamhock has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Steele is defending well but eventually Hamhock manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Steele has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!

#R1# Danga de danga de dang - Sarulo scores with a four punch combination! Nice takedown defense from Sarulo. No joy for Hamhock on that attempt. Sarulo's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Sarulo duly obliges. Sarulo punishes Hamhock's body with a nice straight punch. Hamhock takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Sarulo thuds a left hand into Hamhock's body.#TD# Sarulo gets caught napping as Hamhock dives in and scores a takedown. Sarulo manages to retain guard. Hamhock has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hamhock utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Sarulo feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Hamhocks jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Hamhock shoots for a takedown but Sarulo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Hamhock takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Hamhock is trying hard to land a takedown here. Sarulo sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Sarulo's coach down at Die Trying Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Sarulo's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ken Hamhock. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hamhock misses with a double jab.

Hamhock fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. It seemed like Sarulo was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Sarulo has been the more effective fighter overall so far. A jab from Sarulo finds it's way through Hamhock's defenses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sarulo slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Sarulo scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Sarulo stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Sarulo comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Hamhock seems to have got his legs back now. A nice combination there by Sarulo.
Sarulo fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hamhock looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Sarulo goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Sarulo keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Hamhock is looking to counter the offense by Sarulo and move into the clinch. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Sarulo, as that shot connected.

Nice straight punches there by Sarulo. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Sarulo. Sarulo lands with a shot to the body. Hamhock looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Hamhock walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Hamhock dives in and grabs Sarulo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sarulo pushes down on Hamhock's head and hops out. Hamhock on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Hamhock shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Sarulo is working the combinations to good effect here. Sarulo catches Hamhock with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sarulo bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Sarulo cracks a nice hook into Hamhock's ribs. Sarulo lands with a nice combination. Hamhock backs away looking to recover. Sarulo feints a jab promting Hamhock to slip. Sarulo then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Hamhock slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Sarulo connects with a good right hand that stumbles Hamhock. Hamhock circles away out of range and recomposes himself.#T4# Hamhock on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Sergio Sarulo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sarulo's corner calls for a 1-2. Sarulo obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. #TD# Hamhock closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sarulo did well to prevent Hamhock getting side control. Hamhock is thwarting Sarulo's attempts to control the position. Sarulo moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!#SUB2# Sarulo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round! #R3# A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hamhock. Hamhock has his takedown stuffed and Sarulo counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. A left lands for Sarulo. Good shot there by Sarulo. Hamhock wants to clinch but Sarulo slips to the side and Sarulo connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Sarulo throws a series of strikes that have Hamhock backpedaling.

#R1##TD2# Hamhock shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Duran manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Duran really is a fat lump. Hamhock sitting in guard, not really doing much. Hamhock throwing strikes but missing. Hamhock working some strikes from top position. Hamhock is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Hamhock with a nice head shot there.#CUT2# It looks like Len Duran has been cut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Duran wants to stand and escape but Hamhock is having none of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#T1# Hamhock looking to pass the guard. Duran avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Hamhock keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Duran's head. Hamhock not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Hamhock throws a big right hand that misses. Hamhock chips away with some ground and pound. Hamhock postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Hamhock working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Duran's head.#ROC2# Duran is rocked! Hamhock forces his way into half guard. Oh Duran is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Hamhock has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Duran is breathing heavily. Hamhock lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Duran! More strikes land and this one is all over! Hamhock jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
