That was a close second round but I would say that Jerry Lawler will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! #R1# Wood closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lawler circles away. Lawler tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Wood's corner calls for a 1-2. Wood obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. #TD2# Lawler gets the takedown into side control. Lawler is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Wood's shoulder. That is not cool. Wood tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lawler wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Lawler tries to move into full mount but can't pass Wood's legs. Wood gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Lawler tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Wood is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Lawler has taken his back.

Wood refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Wood's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

#R1# Nice takedown defense from Saltsage. No joy for Lawler on that attempt. An attempted straight right counter from Saltsage misses the target. Lawler throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Saltsage's waist but Saltsage gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lawler off to one side. Lawler keeps the fight on the outside. Lawler changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. No luck for Saltsage with that takedown attempt. Lawler takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Saltsage displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lawler. Gjalund Saltsage has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jerry Lawler. Lawler shoots in but no luck this time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lawler is looking to advance position but WW won't allow it. WW must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lawler is on top in guard.
