Stephens shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Tonon counters with a lovely shot to the body. Stephens with a lazy takedown attempt and Stephens takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Gary Tonon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Samuel Stephens. Stephens wants to clinch#TD# and Tonon counters with a double leg that slams his opponent to the canvas! Stephens is in trouble here! Tonon pounds away until the ref steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Slam). Gary Tonon! After the fight, Gary Tonon was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

#R1# Sor Tienpoh uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Stephens has time to react. Sor Tienpoh fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Stephens has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Sor Tienpoh scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Sor Tienpoh leaves Stephens with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Sor Tienpoh seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Nice cross by Sor Tienpoh. Stephens shoots in for a takedown but Sor Tienpoh shows good takedown defense. Stephens wants to clinch and Sor Tienpoh counters with a lovely straight right hand! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Good exchange - Sor Tienpoh coming out on top.#CUT# It looks like Samuel Stephens has been cut. Wor Sangprapai looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Stephens misses with a body shot.
Samuel Stephens seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wor Sangprapai dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Stephens tries to clinch up and Wor Sangprapai counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Stephens shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Wor Sangprapai counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Wor Sangprapai scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Stephens gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Stephens fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Stephens shoots in and drives through. Datass sprawls well. Datass shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Stephens pinned against the cage. Stephens gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Datass throws a right and a left that both miss. Stephens shoots in for a double leg but Datass sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Datass seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Peter Datass has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Samuel Stephens. Horrible takedown attempt by Stephens or perhaps it was just good defense by Datass, which made it look bad. Datass attempts a counter takedown but Stephens avoids it well and moves away. #R1# Hamed stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hamed wants it to stay on the feet. Hamed could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Sloppy strikes from Hamed. Those never looked like landing. Stephens tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Hamed tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Stephens raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Ahsan Hamed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A leg kick checked by Stephens. Stephens lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Hamed blocks a head kick by Stephens.
