Malherbe persists though and gets the takedown into guard.#SUB2# Cooper working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Malherbe doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Malherbe manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. #SUB2# Cooper has his foot on Malherbe's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Malherbe works his way back into a safe position though. Malherbe pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cooper is keeping the position for now. Malherbe trying to control but Cooper is working from the bottom. Malherbe looking to sit in guard and control but Cooper gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. Malherbe is looking for a sweep. Cooper is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Malherbe is refusing to be controlled, as Cooper sits in half guard. #SUB2# Cooper is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
#SUB2# Cooper is looking for a kimura but Malherbe is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Cooper to get the leverage. Cooper missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. #T2# Cooper takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Malherbe is trying to control but can't.

Cooper has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Malherbe is breathing heavily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Malherbe holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Cooper tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Hopefully he's not broken his hand. #SUB2# Cooper is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The Maniac postures up.
The Maniac tries to free his leg and advance position but Cooper is retaining full guard. #SUB2# Cooper throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Cooper tries to avoid it but The Maniac manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cooper to the ground. Cooper escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Cooper displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from The Maniac. #CL# The Maniac moves into range and clinches up with Cooper. The Maniac tries for a takedown but Cooper manages to get underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike The Maniac. That's going to take a lot out of him.#TD# The Maniac jumps into guard, dragging Cooper to the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cooper throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Cooper in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. #SUB2# Cooper drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Cooper as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! The Maniac screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Cooper! Nice submission victory there!

#R1##CL# Cooper takes the fight into the clinch. Kk looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Kk doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Kk putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Cooper in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Kk tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Cooper avoids it. The referee is keeping an eye on Cooper - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Cooper on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Kk crunches a lovely knee into Cooper's ribcage. Kk struggles to land a body shot inside as Cooper controls his hands.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#TD# Cooper works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Cooper is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Cooper is working Kk over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. #T1# Cooper engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Cooper advances to half guard. Cooper throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

#R1# Gracie Jr avoids a lazy jab quite easily. The fighters circling - Cooper throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Gracie Jr steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Cooper.#TD2# Gracie Jr fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Cooper to the ground. Gracie Jr is now in Cooper's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Gracie Jr won't allow Cooper to sweep him here. Gracie Jr trying to control the position from guard on top but Cooper is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. #SUB# Gracie Jr got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cooper has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! Gracie Jr is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Cooper with a body shot.#TD2# Gracie Jr closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Cooper did well to prevent Gracie Jr getting side control. Gracie Jr wants to take a breather but Cooper is having none of it. #SUB# Cooper looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Gracie Jr pushes past his half guard into mount! Cooper is desperately trying to improve his position but Gracie Jr has a good base and remains in mount.#T3# Cooper tries to hold on but Gracie Jr postures up. Cooper has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
#SUB2# The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Gracie Jr working for the choke. You can see the frustration on Cooper's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
#SUB2# Gracie Jr has got one arm under Cooper's chin. This could be trouble... Cooper trying to control the other hand but Gracie Jr gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Cooper has tapped out! The fight is over!

#R1# Cooper throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Kk looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! A big right from Cooper misses. #CL2# Kk closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Kk gets underhooks to prevent Cooper's takedown attempt.
#TD# Cooper has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Kk is trying to keep an underhook but Cooper manages to get the takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cooper seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Cooper uses his free foot to push down on Kk's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Kk. Cooper takes Kk's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Kk is in trouble. #SUB# Kk is trying to defend against the choke here but Cooper has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Cooper Tightens the hold and Kk taps out furiously! Cooper displays superior BJJ to win the fight.

Hunt seems comfortable defending it but Cooper has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Hunt is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Hunt is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Cooper couldn't care less - he's delighted!
