Horrible takedown attempt by Cortez or perhaps it was just good defense by Gracie, which made it look bad.
A low kick from Cortez misses #TD#
and Gracie counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Gracie.
We've been hearing that Gracie has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Cortez wants to sweep but no luck.

Gracie manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Williamson on his heels. He'll look to pass Williamson's guard now, I'm sure.
Gracie won't allow Williamson to get back to his feet.

Gracie is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Let's hope that Gracie has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
