#R1# DePalma throws a leg kick and Aei finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Aei defending well as DePalma loads up on a big left hand. DePalma connects with a single shot there. Louie DePalma seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. DePalma cracks Aei with an open hand slap. A head kick misses from Aei. DePalma jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Aei keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
DePalma throws a series of punches but Aei avoids them all with ease. DePalma has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Aei shoots in but no luck this time. And DePalma counters with a quick kick to the body but Aei blocks it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Aei just misses with a punch to the body.
Aei throws a sloppy head kick and DePalma moves out of range easily. DePalma is looking for a counter combo. DePalma lands a right hook to the body.
Aei finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Aei changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Aei lands a nice looking body kick. DePalma tries to close the distance and clinch but Aei swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Aei drops down looking to force a counter takedown but DePalma defends it well. Good work by Aei as he checks the leg kick. Aei changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Aei pulls out of a head kick attempt.
#CL# Aei gets tackled into the cage by DePalma. DePalma maintains the clinch. Aei tries to work over DePalma's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. DePalma is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. #T2# DePalma lands a shoulder strike. Aei content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Come on DePalma - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Aei with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. #CUT2# It looks like Louie DePalma has been cut. DePalma has a couple of punches blocked by Aei.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Aei misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from DePalma.
#T3# The referee is keeping an eye on Aei - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Aei working some nice short punches in the clinch. DePalma scores with a shot to the side of Aei's head. A short uppercut from DePalma. DePalma lands a hook that snaps the head of Aei backwards. DePalma lands a nice shot to the body. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. DePalma doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
DePalma lands with a left to the head. DePalma dodges an elbow strike from Aei.
Aei's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!#ROC# Aei is rocked! DePalma creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Aei with a big uppercut! Aei tries to clinch up but DePalma pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Aei to the mat! Aei covers up and DePalma unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

#R1# Sol misses with a takedown attempt #CL# and Aei counters by moving into the clinch. Sol wants a takedown.
Aei trying to land knees to the body.
Sol tries to break free but Aei pushes him back against the cage. Aei lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
#CUT# It looks like Milan Sol has been cut. Aei is defending well against a takedown attempt. Dali Aei has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Milan Sol. Aei lands an elbow inside that Sol shrugs off. Aei has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Sol is trying to pull guard but Aei has him pressed against the cage. Sol avoiding damage as Aei throws knees to the body.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sol drops down looking for an ankle pick but Aei pulls his leg out and moves away.
Sol shoots in looking for a takedown but Aei manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sol's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Aei lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sol circles away quickly and effectively. Sol fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Aei avoids it really well and circles away.#T1# Aei misses with a body shot.
Sol steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Aei. Sol tries for a takedown but Aei circles away easily#CL# and Aei moves into the clinch. Aei working some nice short punches in the clinch.#KD# Aei lands a big knee from the Thai clinch and Sol goes down hard! The ref takes a good look at him but he's still defending himself. Aei in side control.
#ROC# Sol is rocked! Sol looks winded! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sol is trying to improve his position. Sol is still in real trouble! Can Aei finish him? Aei scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Sol is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Aei can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dali Aei! After the fight, Dali Aei was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
