and Tyler counters with a stiff right hand.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Tyler.
Mendes stalks Tyler and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Tyler's face. Tyler staggers backwards, shaken.#CUT#
It looks like Jake Tyler has been cut.
Tyler fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Tyler drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
A head kick misses from Tyler.
Mendes cracks Tyler with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Mendes looks to land a combination but Tyler avoids it well. #CL#
Mendes closes the distance and clinches.
Mendes keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Tyler's efforts to push away.

Tyler shoots for a double leg takedown but Mendes sprawls well. He's pushed Tyler's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Mendes connects with a superb combination that knocks Tyler out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Mendes before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Tyler!

Jose Mendes opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.

Tyler darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Snyder is looking to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tyler seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Snyder does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Snyder is trying to stand back up but Tyler is controlling him
Snyder keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Snyder trying to hold on to Tyler's head to control him but Tyler postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#ES#
Snyder manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Tyler keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. #T1##TD2#

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tyler can do anything to dispel that myth.#SU#
Snyder gets to his feet. Tyler looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

and Snyder counters with a nice double leg into side control. Tyler won't be happy with that. #SU#
Snyder stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Snyder ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Tyler closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Tyler lands in his opponent's guard.#SUB#
Snyder has his foot on Tyler's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tyler works his way back into a safe position though.

Snyder escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tyler gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Tyler stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Snyder throws up his legs and catches Tyler in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Tyler tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Snyder! That came out of nowhere!
