#R1# Wells takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Rome throws out a loose jab but Wells uses good head movement to avoid it. Rome looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Wells is trying hard to land a takedown here. Rome sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Nice shot lands for Rome. Wells throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Rome! But no joy. Wells throws a body shot but no joy. #KD2# Oooooh!!! Rome has knocked Wells down with a huge combo! Rome steps away and waves a wobbly Wells back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!#ROC2# Wells is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here.#CL# Rome gets tackled into the cage by Wells. Wells maintains the clinch. Oh Wells is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!#TD# Wells ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Wells no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Wells looking to control.
Wells seems to have got his legs back now. Rome throws a big elbow that misses. Rome in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Wells will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.#SUB# Wells working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rome doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rome manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Rome must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Rome postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. #T1# Wells utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. #SUB# Wells looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Rome postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Wells covers up, he's hurt! Rome keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Rome and the ref steps in to end the fight! Rome can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

#R1##CL2# Wells pushes Petersen up against the cage in a clinch.#TD2# Wells has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Petersen uses from the top position. Wells is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Petersen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Petersen is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Wells trying to keep a closed guard but Petersen is proving a slippery customer.
Wells wants to stand but Petersen is controlling the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Petersen controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Petersen wants to stand but Wells is controlling his posture from full guard. #T1# Petersen content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Wells can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Petersen controls the pace.#REF3# The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Petersen is looking to take this fight into the clinch.#TD2# Wells throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Petersen was covering up waiting for the punch and Wells finishes the takedown easily into guard. Wells really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Petersen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Petersen controls Wells momentarily but Wells frees himself. #T2# Wells wants to get up but he can't break Petersen's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Petersen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Wells is working Petersen over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wells accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. #SUB# Petersen is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Wells is aware though and is defending well. Wells looking to pass the guard. #SUB# Petersen is looking for a triangle but Wells pushes his legs off easily.
Wells looking to sit in guard and control but Petersen gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. #REVR##T3# Wells punching from the bottom - just letting Petersen know he's still in a fight. Petersen won't allow Wells to get back to his feet. #SUB# Petersen drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Petersen as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Wells screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Petersen! Nice submission victory there!
