Alfredo looking to pass the guard. Alfredo controls from within his opponent's guard. Bid is looking to stand up but Alfredo isn't so interested in that idea. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#ES# Bid manages to escape and get back to his feet.
#T1# Bid tries to clinch up but Alfredo circles away and keeps his distance. A thudding body kick lands there by Bid!
Bid tries to close the distance and clinch up but Alfredo swats him away and circles back towards the center. Alfredo is looking for the big counter here. Bid takes a swing at Alfredo's ribcage but misses. Bid tries to clinch up. Bid tries to close the distance and clinch but Alfredo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Bid tries a head kick but it misses.
Jason Bid seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A slapping body kick lands there for Bid. Bid tries a head kick but it misses.

Bid misses with a hook. Alfredo has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Bid misses with a wild body shot. #KD# Bid lands a big head kick that sends Alfredo tumbling to the mat! Bid takes a step backwards and waves Alfredo back to his feet - he wants the finish!#ROC# Alfredo is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.#CL# Bid closes the distance and clinches. Alfredo is still on wobbly legs! Can Bid finish him?#BC# Bid escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
#CL# Bid darts in and clinches Alfredo up against the cage. Bid working the clinch nicely. Alfredo is working for position but Bid cracks him with a big knee to the head! Alfredo crumples up against the cage and Bid lands two more shots before the ref can save Alfredo! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee & Punches). Jason Bid! Jason Bid bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.

#R1##CL2# Bid has closed the distance and engaged Botha in a clinch.
Botha lands with a light punch inside. Bid is trying to stall.
Botha cracks Bid with a nice body shot.#BC2# Bid's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.#CL# Botha forces Bid back against the cage and clinches. Bid is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Botha stalls. Bid trying to control the position but instead, Botha has worked for underhooks and has pushed Bid into the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#BC2# Bid breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Botha blocks a head kick by Bid.
#T1# Botha takes a kick to the side of the head.#CUT2# It looks like Daniel Botha has been cut. Bid showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Botha.
Bid misses with a hook
and Botha makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Bid! Botha is out on his feet! Bid rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Botha is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Botha is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jason Bid! A very excited looking Jason Bid rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed. Daniel Botha spoke after the fight, saying 'Train harder. Be smarter'.

#R1##CL2# Bid gets tackled into the cage by Jackson. Jackson maintains the clinch. Bid has had enough of the clinch but Jackson keeps him there for the moment. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Bid obliges.#TD2# Jackson turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!#SUB2# Jackson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Bid has escaped the position, nice work there. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. #SU2# Jackson stands up and beckons Bid to his feet. #T1# Bid showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jackson.
#TD2# Jackson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.#SUB2# Jackson has an Americana. Bid didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Jackson is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Jackson hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

#R1# Condit throws a head kick that misses. #CL# Condit forces Bid back against the cage and clinches. Bid is defending well against a takedown attempt. Bid tries to pull guard but Condit won't allow it.

#BC# Condit manages to break the clinch.
Condit uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bid.
Bid finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Bid tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Condit manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.#TD# Condit closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Bid quickly recovers to half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Condit not landing any meaningful shots this time. Condit seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. #T1# Bid tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Condit has advanced to mount. Uh oh. #T2# The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Condit controlling the pace for now. Condit looking to finish with strikes here!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Condit looking to control and managing it successfully. #SUB# Condit is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Bid to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Bid shrugs it off. Condit controlling the pace for now. #T4# A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Condit thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Bid looks winded!#SUB# Condit working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Condit controlling from the full mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Carlos Condit overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Condit looking to ground and pound but Bid is blocking nicely.
