Russ closes the distance but McSlamm moves to the side #TD#
so McSlamm counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Russ really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McSlamm. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
McSlamm postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Russ looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

After the fight, Sara McSlamm was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

PercivalH scores with a nice hook to the head.
PercivalH lands a nice uppercut.
Russ is looking to break free of the clinch but PercivalH has double underhooks.
PercivalH softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
A shot in the inside from PercivalH.
Russ jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as PercivalH walks away with a smile on his face. Russ gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Russ tries to counter with a takedown but PercivalH is quick to defend against it.
Russ changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. PercivalH tries to avoid it but Russ manages to keep hold of a leg and drag PercivalH to the ground. PercivalH escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Russ shoots in looking for a takedown but PercivalH manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Russ's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kijij Russ. That's going to take a lot out of him.#CL2#

Russ tries to clinch up but PercivalH pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Russ to the mat! Russ covers up and PercivalH unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
