Costa is working Rodrigues over with some ground and pound from side control. Rodrigues tries to get back to half guard but can't. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Costa tries to stand but Rodrigues is controlling his head. Rodrigues is looking to regain half guard here but Costa keeps moving and retains side control. Costa controls the position from side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rodrigues is positioning himself to get back to half guard. #T1# Costa working away. Rodrigues is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Costa has just dragged him back down to the mat. Rodrigues tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Costa wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Costa working away diligently from side control. Andre Costa dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round! #R3# Costa tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rodrigues sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Costa somewhat. Rodrigues fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Costa avoids it really well and circles away. Costa is looking to clinch. Rodrigues let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Rodrigues shoots in looking for a takedown but Costa manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rodrigues's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.#TD# Costa feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Right on cue, Costa cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Costa seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Rodrigues for as long as he can get away with. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Rodrigues! But no joy. Araujo shoots in for a takedown but Rodrigues shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Rodrigues throws the kick towards the body but Araujo avoids it. As Rodrigues tries to get set, Araujo tries to push him back and clinch up but Rodrigues manages to avoid the attempt. Rodrigues fails with the takedown. Araujo thinks about countering with a body kick. Araujo misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rodrigues.
Araujo looks to land a combination. Rodrigues sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Araujo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rodrigues paws at him with a jab and circles away. Rodrigues slaps away a takedown attempt from Araujo, before circling back to the center of the mat. Rodrigues is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
