The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Hunt takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. A short left from Hunt. #CUT# It looks like Santiago Lopez has been cut. Hunt stalling against the cage.
#TD# Hunt pulls guard effortlessly. #SUB# Hunt looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Hunt keeping moving, preventing Lopez from controlling successfully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SU2# Lopez stands up from guard. Let's bang! #CL# Lopez gets tackled into the cage by Hunt. Hunt maintains the clinch. Hunt lands a hook to the side of the head. Lopez looking for a takedown. #T1# Hunt is pushing Lopez up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. A short body shot lands from Hunt as the two fighters clinch.
Lopez is trying to pull guard but Hunt turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Hunt lands on the inside with an uppercut. Hunt pushes Lopez against the cage. Hunt is working some dirty boxing. Hunt pushes off with a quick right hook! Lopez goes down! Lopez tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Hunt moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

A very excited looking Mark Hunt made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.

#R1##CL# Quincy gets tackled into the cage by Lopez. Lopez maintains the clinch. Quincy looks to throw an elbow but misses. Quincy lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Quincy stops a takedown attempt from Lopez.
Quincy scores with a shot to the side of Lopez's head. #CUT2# It looks like Santiago Lopez has been cut. Lopez managing to block the knees to the body from Quincy.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Quincy.#ROC2# Lopez is rocked! Quincy creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Lopez with a big uppercut! Lopez tries to clinch up but Quincy pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Lopez to the mat! Lopez covers up and Quincy unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Incy Quincy! Incy Quincy decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

#R1# Hunt fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lopez manages to avoid it. Hunt slaps away a takedown attempt from Lopez, before circling back to the center of the mat. Lopez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Lopez with a poor takedown and Hunt counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. #CUT# It looks like Santiago Lopez has been cut. Lopez fails with the takedown and Hunt counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.

Thomas being controlled here momentarily. Lopez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Lopez can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Thomas controls the pace. Lopez has control of Thomas's left arm, preventing Thomas from doing any damage. Thomas stays in close to Lopez's body and controls the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Thomas postures up in Lopez's guard and throws a big left but Lopez blocks it. Lopez seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Lopez looking to control.

He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Thomas should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Stalling in the clinch from Thomas.

That was a close round but I would say that Santiago Lopez will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Michael Thomas showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards. #R3##CL2# Thomas pushes Lopez up against the cage in a clinch. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Thomas manages to end up in side control.#ES# Lopez bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Lopez throws a head kick that misses #TD2# and Thomas counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lopez won't be happy with that. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lopez manages to get back to half guard. Thomas controlling the pace. #SUB2# Thomas seems to be working for a kimura but Lopez defends the submission attempt. Thomas looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. #T2# Thomas is trying to control the action in half guard but Lopez is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Lopez trying to control here.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Thomas lands a nice short elbow. Lopez desperately trying to maintain half guard. Thomas is controlling the pace.

Lopez has Thomas pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Thomas manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Thomas unloads a knee to the mid-section. Both fighters are breathing heavily. A short right hand to the side of the head by Thomas.#T4# Lopez blocks an elbow strike. Thomas lands an elbow inside that Lopez shrugs off. Lopez prevents a body shot from Thomas. Thomas trying to land knees to the body.

Thomas lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Lopez or not. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Thomas prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Santiago Lopez. That's going to take a lot out of him.#TD2# Thomas has clasped his hands together around Lopez's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Michael Thomas comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Thomas has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

#R1# Lopez keeps the fight on the outside.#CL2# Lopez instigates a clinch. Lopez lands a shoulder strike. #BC# Velasquez manages to break the clinch.
#CL2# Lopez clinches up against the cage. Lopez avoids a wild elbow strike from Velasquez. Velasquez has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Lopez after a bit of a struggle. #BC# Velasquez escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lopez tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Velasquez defends well and Lopez ends up having to push Velasquez into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Velasquez went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. A slapping leg kick lands for Velasquez.
Lopez tests Velasquez's chin there with a solid looking shot. Some bone on bone action there as Velasquez checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. #TD# A momentary lapse in concentration from Lopez enables Velasquez to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Lopez manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Velasquez preventing the sweep. Lopez managing to control the position. Velasquez throws a big right hand that misses. #T1# Velasquez throws an elbow that misses. Lopez uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Velasquez's guard. Nice move by Lopez!#REVB##SU2# Lopez decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Velasquez, up you get! A nice combination there by Lopez.
#TD# Velasquez feints and as Lopez raises his hands in defense, Velasquez changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Velasquez trying to control but Lopez is working from the bottom. Lopez looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Velasquez in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. #T2# Velasquez postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Lopez controlling the position. Velasquez throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lopez works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Lopez avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Velasquez throws a big elbow that misses. #SUB# Velasquez drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Lopez manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Velasquez has Lopez in his guard.#REVB# The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.#SU2# The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Lopez gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. #CL2# Lopez clinches. Velasquez tries to score a body lock takedown but Lopez shows good agility there to stay on his feet.#T3# Velasquez tries to pull guard but Lopez won't allow it.

#R1##TD2# Lopez shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Carico trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Lopez manages to pass to mount!
Lopez controlling from the full mount. Lopez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Carico tries to lock up and control but Lopez gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Carico is trying to reverse the position but instead Lopez has taken his back - oops! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lopez has the hooks in. Carico is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. #SUB2# Lopez is working for a rear naked choke. Carico is not defending it well and Lopez has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Carico refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Carico's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
