Leafshard lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lima circles away quickly and effectively.
Leafshard tries to bum rush Lima with a series of wild strikes but Lima uses good footwork to avoid the assault.#TD#
Leafshard gets caught flat footed, as Lima shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Lima throws a big elbow that misses.
Lima controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Lima has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Leafshard will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Soze.
Soze swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Leafshard seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Soze tries to bum rush Leafshard with a series of wild strikes but Leafshard uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Soze bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Leafshard walks forward, straight into a front kick from Soze.
Soze lands with a good body shot.
Leafshard misses with a double jab.
Soze lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Leafshard misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
We've been told by Leafshard's head coaches at Double XX that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Leafshard gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Soze gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Leafshard is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Naharis looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Naharis lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Daerion Leafshard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Naharis throws a leg kick which misses Leafshard's front leg but catches the back leg as Leafshard tries to avoid it.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bud Dodson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dodson's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
