And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Dale McCann!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Paul Tew and Richard Clark.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
McCann moves in looking to clinch but Kolov pushes him off.
Kolov avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Kolov is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in McCann's half guard.

Kolov is working for a kimura but McCann is defending it quite comfortably.
McCann wants to improve his position but Kolov is controlling well.
McCann is holding on to half guard well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kolov prevents McCann from improving his position.

Kolov looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

McCann has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kolov is working away from the top position though.
Kolov frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Kolov is going oldschool here, as he tries to force McCann to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so McCann shrugs it off.

Kolov jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… McCann is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by McCann and Kolov has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Kolov is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. McCann knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
You can see the frustration on McCann's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
McCann tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Kolov tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kolov has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kolov has knee on belly momentarily but McCann bucks him off and regains half guard.
Kolov is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for McCann!

McCann can't escape the position.

McCann is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Kolov locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! McCann is forced to tap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Dan Kolov!
Dan Kolov bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Paul Tew and Daniel Bishop.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
McCann is looking to clinch.

Sato feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

McCann can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Sato controls the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sato pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. McCann is keeping the position for now.
Sato advances to half guard.
Well, if Sato is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Sato is looking to advance position but McCann won't allow it.

McCann is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Sato rolls with it to try and escape but McCann cranks on the arm and Sato is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
