Coming up we have a welterweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Ken Tweres and Juan Orellana. Tweres comes into the arena with Gnarls Barkley - Crazy blaring out of the sound system. Juan Orellana is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Ken Tweres! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Juan Orellana! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Matheus Silva and Felipe Paraventi.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Orellana closes the distance and clinches up with Tweres, looking for a takedown. Orellana pushes Tweres against the cage but Tweres circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Tweres forces Orellana back against the cage and clinches. Tweres turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Tweres (4) vs (0) Orellana Orellana sneaks back into half guard. Orellana is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Tweres wants to work for an arm triangle but Orellana is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Orellana is looking to control Tweres's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Orellana avoid being mounted? We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Orellana controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Orellana trying to control here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tweres is taking a breather. Orellana says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Tweres has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Tweres is looking for a kimura but Orellana is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Tweres to get the leverage. Tweres is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Orellana sees it coming and defends easily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tweres seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Orellana does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Tweres is thwarting Orellana's attempts to control the position. Orellana actively working from the bottom here. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Tweres's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Orellana moves into full guard.

The referee will try and keep them active though. You can see the frustration on Orellana's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tweres is looking to take a break and control but Orellana is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Orellana manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Orellana tries to roll over but Tweres keeps him under control. Tweres controlling the pace.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Orellana is looking for a sweep. Tweres is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Still in half guard, Tweres seems content to control. Further stalling from Tweres. Tweres is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Tweres tries to pass to full mount but Orellana defends it. Tweres is working hard here to advance position. Tweres is trying to work for a kimura but Orellana is defending well.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Tweres keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Orellana gets full guard. Tweres might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Orellana wants to sweep here but Tweres controlling him for the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Orellana keeping full guard, as Tweres tries to pass. Orellana is trying to keep Tweres in close.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. Orellana looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Orellana looks winded! Orellana wants to control but Tweres passes easily into half guard.
Tweres seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Tweres is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Orellana doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Tweres. Orellana is not content to let Tweres control the position.
That's ten minutes gone in the round. Tweres looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Tweres wants to pass the guard but Orellana is defending well. Tweres is taking a breather. Orellana says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Orellana wants to control but Tweres is keeping busy.

Tweres stalling away here and it's allowed Orellana to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
That's twelve minutes gone in the round. Tweres trying to move into half guard but instead Orellana has managed to sweep! Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Tweres (7) vs (2) Orellana Orellana trying to control the position from guard on top but Tweres is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tweres is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Orellana is aware though and is defending well. Orellana pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tweres is keeping the position for now. Tweres is trying to keep Orellana in close.
That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. Tweres working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Orellana doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Orellana manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Tweres pulls Orellana in close to prevent any damage. Orellana trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Orellana is fighting to break Tweres's control of his arms but Tweres is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
That's fourteen minutes gone in the round. Orellana got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tweres has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Orellana has managed to get both his arms back between Tweres's legs - danger averted. Tweres is adopting a defensive guard. Orellana pushes down on Tweres's leg and manages to get into half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Orellana is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
