Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Manchester Red and Diego Souza. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Manchester Red! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Diego Souza! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Emerson Jorge and Alexandre Firmino.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Souza tries to clinch there but Red circles away.
Red gets a clinch. Red has hold of one of Souza's legs. Souza is fighting the takedown attempt but Red gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Red seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Souza is looking for a triangle but Red pushes his legs off easily.

Souza bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Red's guard. Red looking for a sweep. Not yet Red, not yet. Red is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Souza has eaten all the pies! Red wants to hit a switch here but Souza passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Red there! Score +3 for passing guard: Red (2) vs (5) Souza Red is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Red knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Souza on the ground. Red is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Red tries to improve his position but instead Souza has taken his back! Score +3 for taking back: Red (2) vs (8) Souza Souza looking for the RNC. Red trying to control the position but Souza manages to sink in the hooks. Souza has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Red has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Red is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Souza is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Souza keeps control of the position as Red tries to break free.

Red just trying to survive but Souza is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Souza has the hooks in. Red is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Souza has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. You can see the frustration on Red's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Red trying to control the hands but Souza breaks the grip. Red surviving as best he can, preventing damage. Souza tries to get the hooks in deep but Red pushed the leg off.

Souza is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. Red trying to control the hands but Souza breaks the grip. You can see the frustration on Red's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Souza is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Red with him. Red is trying to defend but Souza has an arm under the chin now! Red grimaces and is forced to tap out!
