#R1# Fernedez shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jackson but Jackson pushes him off and we're back to square one. Nice sprawl there from Fernedez as Jackson shoots in. Jackson leaves Fernedez with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Henry Fernedez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#CL# Jackson gets in close and instigates a clinch. #TD# Jackson jumps guard and drags Fernedez to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Fernedez cracks Jackson with a solid left hand. Jackson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Fernedez controls the pace. Jackson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jackson tries to get out of the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fernedez throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jackson works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Fernedez is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.#T1##SUB2# Fernedez thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Fernedez is working Jackson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Fernedez has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Jackson controls Fernedez momentarily but Fernedez frees himself. Fernedez is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Jackson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Jackson is trying to hold Fernedez in close to prevent damage but Fernedez has managed to pass into half guard.
#T2##SUB2# Fernedez has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Jackson defend it? Fernedez steps over the head and cranks it - Jackson is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Fernedez!
