Cruz shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Dutroux looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Cruz uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Dutroux. And Cruz tries to counter it with a takedown but Dutroux pushes his down on his head and steps out. Cruz takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Cruz moves forwards but Dutroux connects with a nice, crisp jab. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Dutroux scores with a jab. Jordan Shore has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dimitrious Cruz. Shore stalls. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cruz jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Shore walks away with a smile on his face. Cruz gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Cruz takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Cruz looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Carver moves into full guard.
Cruz looking to pass the guard. Cruz controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Carver keeping full guard, as Cruz tries to pass. Cruz passes easily into side control. Nice work.#SUB2# Cruz is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Carver is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. The fight stays on the outside here - Cowell looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Cowell tries to clinch but Cruz moves out of range. Cruz shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cowell sprawls well. Cowell wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cruz gets slowly back to his feet. Cowell displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Cruz. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dimitrious Cruz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cowell with a body punch. A glancing blow. Cruz fails with the takedown letting Cowell counter with a right hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Garafallo defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Cruz. Jenean Garafallo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dimitrious Cruz. Cruz shoots in for a takedown but Garafallo shows good takedown defense. Garafallo tries to counter with a takedown but Cruz is quick to defend against it. Cruz shoots in looking for a takedown. Garafallo tries to sprawl out of it but Cruz keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Garafallo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Garafallo scores with a shot to the body.

Cruz will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Jones is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. #SUB# Cruz looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Heughan lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Nice elbow from Heughan. Heughan pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.#TD2# Cruz has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Heughan uses from the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#SUB2# Heughan has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Cruz to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Heughan is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Cruz pulls down on the head and he's put Heughan to sleep! This one is all over!
