Vargas cracks the inside of Caine's front leg. #TD# Caine feints and as Vargas raises his hands in defense, Caine changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Caine trying to control the position from guard on top but Vargas is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. #SUB# Caine is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Caine might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Caine pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Vargas is keeping the position for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Caine sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Vargas's guard. #SUB# Caine is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Vargas doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Caine. Caine keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.#T1##SUB# Caine is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Vargas has managed to free his arm - good work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Caine content to control rather than advance. #SUB# Caine is looking for a kimura but Vargas is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Caine to get the leverage. Vargas looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.#SUB# Caine is working for a kimura but Vargas is defending it quite comfortably.
#T2# Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Well, if Caine is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Caine is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Caine hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

#R1# Power looks to land a combination but Caine avoids it well. Power changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Caine throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Power sees it coming and avoids it easily. As Caine looks to move away, Power throws a big counter combo but Caine just gets out of the way. Caine changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Power tries to avoid it but Caine manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Power to the ground. Power escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Caine rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Power counters with a lovely straight right hand! Caine throws a poor cross that misses
and Power counters with a nice uppercut. Power throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A swing and a miss from Caine. Power uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Caine.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Caine might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Power has got the better of the exchanges. Caine throws out a loose jab but Simon uses good head movement to avoid it. Caine misses with a straight left. Simon tries to counter by clinching up but Caine breaks away and moves out of range. Caine circles away from the clinch attempt.

Caine looks to score with a jab to the body but Vargas is just out of range. Vargas shoots in looking for a takedown but Caine manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Vargas's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. A jab from Caine misses. Vargas slips a jab from Caine. Caine just misses with a punch to the body.

He has the arm isolated but Jacobs is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Jacobs sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Caine throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Jacobs wants to control but Caine is keeping busy and won't allow it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Caine with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. #T1# Caine is trying to control the action in half guard but Jacobs is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Caine throws an elbow but Cruz slips to the side and avoids it well. Caine landing strikes from the mount. Cruz blocking the ground and pound. #SUB2# Caine looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Cruz is desperately trying to improve his position but Caine has a good base and remains in mount.#T4# Caine sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Cruz really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Caine throwing strikes but Cruz recovers to half guard. A much better position. Caine thows a huge punch but Cruz dodges it nicely.
Cruz tries to kick Caine off but Caine keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Caine missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Cruz missing with punches from the bottom.
Cruz blocking the ground and pound attempt from Caine. Caine thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Cruz's head. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Cruz has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Caine is working away from the top position though. Caine throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Benni Caine dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. #R2# Cruz on the wrong end of a nice jab. Caine sizes up Cruz with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Cruz misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Caine clobbers Cruz with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Caine fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Cruz looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Caine uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cruz.
#CL# Cruz instigates a clinch. Cruz prevents a body shot from Caine. #BC# Cruz pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Caine listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Cruz shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Caine as he jumps to the side. Cruz takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.#T1# A head kick by Cruz misses and Caine counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Cruz misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

A shot to the liver by Caine. Beautiful body shot. Cruz on the wrong end of a nice hook. Cruz moves in looking to clinch but Caine pushes him off. Caine dips to his left and cracks Cruz with an uppercut! Caine lands with a good body shot. Caine fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Cruz on the side of the head. Caine scores with a jab to the jaw. Cruz fails with an attempt to clinch.
Cruz tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Caine defends well and Cruz ends up having to push Caine into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!#TD# Cruz closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. #T2# Caine stuck in half guard on the bottom here. Cruz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Caine keeps working. Caine is looking to regain half guard here but Cruz keeps moving and retains side control. Caine really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cruz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Cruz working away.#SUB# Cruz is trying to get an arm triangle but Caine is defending well. Caine is not content to let Cruz control the position. #T3# Caine is trying to control Cruz's posture but Cruz avoids it. Cruz misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Cruz wants to stand but Caine has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard. Caine bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cruz's guard. #REVB##T4# Caine postures up in Cruz's guard and throws a big left but Cruz blocks it. #SUB# Caine has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Cruz to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Caine is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Cruz pulls down on the head and he's put Caine to sleep! This one is all over!
