#R1# Eye tries to close the distance and clinch up but Grobelaar swats him away and circles back towards the center. Grobelaar half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Grobelaar looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. #TD# Grobelaar looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Eye! Grobelaar landing a few strikes. #CUT# It looks like Dragon Eye has been cut. Grobelaar working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Grobelaar working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Eye defending against the ground and pound. You can see the frustration on Eye's face as Grobelaar controls the position. The strikes coming from Grobelaar are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Grobelaar is staying tight to Eye's torso, preventing him from escaping. Grobelaar throws a strike aimed at the side of Eye's head but Eye avoids it well. Eye tries to improve position but can't. #T1# Eye trying to remain calm as Grobelaar controls from the top position. Grobelaar misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Grobelaar content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Grobelaar connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Eye some visible discomfort.
Grobelaar staying calm. Grobelaar cracks Eye with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Grobelaar immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Eye is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Grobelaar!
