#R1# Bear throws a left and a right that both miss
and Nolan counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Nolan digs a good body shot into Bear's ribs. Nolan throws a jab but it's blocked by Bear. #KD# Nolan lands a left and a right that send Bear crashing to the mat, dazed. Nolan thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!#CUT#It looks like Teddy Bear has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Bear switches off momentarily and Nolan cracks him with a monster right hand! Bear topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Nolan dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Nolan!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jon Nolan! Our winner, Jon Nolan, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans. Teddy Bear was interviewed post fight and said 'Tonight wasn't my night, but i'll learn and come back stronger.'. |

#R1# Bear looks to score with a jab to the body but Shinnie is just out of range. Bear on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. A nice leg kick lands there from Shinnie. Shinnie takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Shinnie connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Bear lands a body shot.
Shinnie lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Bear at a distance.
Nice body punch from Shinnie. Shinnie scores with a crisp jab that stopped Bear in his tracks. Jab by Shinnie. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Shinnie throws an off balance right hand
and Bear makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Shinnie throws an overhand right that lands on Bear's shoulder, as Bear tries to avoid the shot. Bear moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Shinnie scores with a body shot.

Shinnie sees it coming and avoids it easily. Shinnie lands with a nice body kick. Bear uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Shinnie. Shinnie stalks Bear and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Bear's face. Bear staggers backwards, shaken. Shinnie throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Wangchuck shoots in for a takedown but Bear shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Teddy Bear has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lotay Wangchuck. Bear's corner calls for a 1-2. Bear obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Wangchuck gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Bear counters with a series of strikes. Wangchuck will be more careful next time no doubt. Wangchuck shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bear defends it nicely. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. #REVR# Wangchuck is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. #SUB2# Wangchuck looking for submissions off his back. Bear with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. #T3# Wangchuck tries to roll over but Bear keeps him under control. #R1# Huge shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Bear cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Bear waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Huge. No luck with that takedown attempt from Huge. A little feinted left hand from Bear on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Huge is looking to clinch. Bear throws a big counter combination but Huge scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Bear throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Huge tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Huge shoots in looking for a takedown. Bear tries to sprawl out of it but Huge keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bear manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Teddy Bear has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Huge. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bear misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
#TD2# Huge closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Bear quickly recovers to half guard. Bear has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Huge is on him like a limpet, forcing Bear back against the cage. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Huge using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Bear has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Bear cracks Huge with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Huge fails to land the takedown. Bear dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Huge keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Bear. Bear lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Huge at a distance.

Bear leaves Huge with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Bear steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Rumble. That one must have hurt. Bear checks the leg kick. Bear now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Bear keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Rumble lands an overhand right. Rumble connects with a leg kick. A big right from Bear misses. Bear just misses with a punch to the body.
Rumble looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.#KD2# Bear lands a left and a right that send Rumble crashing to the mat, dazed. Bear thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!#CUT2#It looks like Barney Rumble has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rumble looks to throw the jab but Bear is out of range. Bear appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Rumble scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Bear steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Rumble's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. Gracie has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Gracie misses with a looping right. It seemed like Bear was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Bear throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Bear scores with a shot to the body.

Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Bear finished him against the cage.

#R1# The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Krejza is looking to land body kicks. Bear displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Krejza. Bear looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Krejza shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Krejza misses with a two punch combination.
Jenik Krejza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bear throws a looping overhand right but Krejza ducks down to avoid it. And Krejza tries to counter it with a takedown but Bear pushes his down on his head and steps out. Horrible takedown attempt by Krejza or perhaps it was just good defense by Bear, which made it look bad. Krejza shoots and misses and Bear makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Teddy Bear has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jenik Krejza. Bear blocks a low kick nicely. Bear appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Bear lands a nice looking body shot.

and Gracie counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Bear shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Gracie's corner. There ya go! There ya go! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bear tries to land a sweep but no joy. Gracie has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Bear is trying to keep Gracie in close.

A little feinted left hand from Kuznetcov on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Bear has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Kuznetcov is landing a low percentage of strikes. Kuznetcov uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bear.
Bear throws a right hand that Kuznetcov ducks under and follows up with a left that Kuznetcov also avoids with ease. Bear fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Meat Boy fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Bear checks it well. It looked like Bear was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Meat Boy. Belov keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Bear. Jab by Belov. Belov turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Bear with a jab. Belov swings away with a leg kick that misses. Belov slips under a jab from Bear. Belov appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Belov plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Belov throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Bear uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Belov.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Belov steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Bear. Bear has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Navy Street MMA in the buildup to the fight.#T1# Belov tries a head kick but it misses.

Bear lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Bear fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Bear connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Bear takes a swing at Belov's ribcage but misses. Belov uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bear.
Bear is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Belov flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Belov is out cold! Bear holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

After the fight, Teddy Bear was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. Teddy Bear seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bear thuds a left hand into De Lange's body. De Lange is breathing heavily. Bear throws an overhand right that lands on De Lange's shoulder, as De Lange tries to avoid the shot. De Lange half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Bear scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. De Lange doesn't seem bothered though. Bear throws a shot to the body.
We've been hearing reports that De Lange has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Good standup being displayed there by Bear as he connects with a hook. Bear lands a nice looking body shot.

Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!

Bear is motioning to the referee to let Riverson up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!#CUT2# It looks like John Riverson has been cut. No luck with that takedown attempt from Riverson. Bear is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Riverson tries for a takedown but Bear circles away easily and Bear makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Riverson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Riverson is breathing heavily. Riverson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Riverson fails with the takedown. This has been an exciting period of action! Riverson fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Bear swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.#KD2# Bear lands a big right hand that sends Riverson crashing to the mat! Bear stays standing though and waves Riverson back to his feet!#ROC2# Riverson is rocked! Bear lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Riverson up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Bear from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Riverson's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

#R1# Diaz fails with the takedown and Bear counters with a lovely straight right hand!#CL2# Diaz takes the fight into the clinch. Bear has had enough of the clinch but Diaz keeps him there for the moment. Bear is trying to push Diaz away but Diaz has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.#TD2# Diaz gets control of Bear's arms and successfully pulls guard. Diaz will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.#SUB2# Bear avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Bear won't allow Diaz to sweep him here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Diaz wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Bear would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. #T1##SUB2# Bear is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Diaz has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Bear is looking to defend but Diaz has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Bear! Diaz pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Bear taps out and this one is all over!

Mutuumbe uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bear. Bear throws a right and a left that Mutuumbe avoids nicely. Mutuumbe tries to clinch but Bear moves out of range. Bear misses with a straight left. Bear's jab looks to have found its range, popping Mutuumbe under the eye.#CUT# It looks like Zulu Mutuumbe has been cut. Bear throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Mutuumbe 's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Bear dives in looking to finish as Mutuumbe flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Bear's strikes! Bear is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Mutuumbe 's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Mutuumbe was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
