Alvarez lands a two punch combo.
Johansson takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Alvarez throws a series of punches but Johansson moves out of range. Johansson tries to clinch up. Alvarez throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A combination from Alvarez does no damage. Alvarez misses with a double jab
#TD2# and Johansson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Johansson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Alvarez's head. Johansson trying to control the pace. Alvarez won't allow Johansson to pass to mount. #T1##SUB2# Johansson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Alvarez sees it coming and defends easily. Johansson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.#SUB2# Johansson in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Alvarez tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Johansson!

A less than humble Brimir Johansson misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities. Saul Alvarez was interviewed post fight and said 'I don't know what to say about that'.

#R1##TD# Johansson shoots in for a takedown and gets it.#SUB# Johansson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Porter sees it coming and defends easily. Johansson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Porter really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Johansson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Johansson trying to control from half guard but Porter is working away. #SUB# Johansson has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Porter defend it? Johansson steps over the head and cranks it - Porter is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Johansson!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Brimir Johansson! After the fight, Brimir Johansson was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

#R1# We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Johansson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Jones counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Johansson thinking. Johansson tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Jones makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Johansson misses with a takedown attempt letting Jones counter with a right hand. Johansson tries to clinch but Jones is having none of it. #T1# Johansson misses with a takedown attempt and Jones counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Jon Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brimir Johansson. Johansson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Jones counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Johansson tries to grapple but his opponent circles letting Jones counter with a right hand. #ROC# Johansson is rocked!#T2# Johansson shoots and misses and Jones counters with a crisp right that sends Johansson to the canvas! Jones follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

Love's coach down at Island Top Team was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Love's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Love lands with a right to the head. #CUT2# It looks like Brimir Johansson has been cut. Johansson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.#TD2# Love tightens his grip and picks Johansson up, before dumping him to the ground. Johansson manages to land in guard. Johansson wants to sweep here but Love controlling him for the moment. Love really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Johansson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Johansson pulls Love in close to prevent any damage. Johansson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Love is one step ahead there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Johansson is on top in guard.
#REVR# Love looks winded! Johansson stands and throws Love's legs to the side, diving into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#T1# Johansson advances to full mount. #SUB# Johansson has isolated one of Love's arms. Love looking to fight him off but Johansson twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Brimir Johansson! A very excited looking Brimir Johansson rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
