and Wallace counters with a two punch combo. No joy there for Poole, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
As Poole looks to move away, Wallace throws a big counter combo but Poole just gets out of the way. Wallace misses with a two punch combination.
Wallace lands with a kick to the ribs.
Poole fails to land with a series of punches.
Wallace went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.#TD# Wallace shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Wallace was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Check out the look on Wallace's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

#R1# Poole doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Roman takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Poole swings and misses with a shot to the body enabling Roman to counter with a crisp jab. #TD2# Poole scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.#ES# Roman throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.#TD# Roman feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Roman will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Roman is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Roman sitting in guard, not really doing much. Roman passes Poole's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Roman lands strikes from half guard. Poole tries to roll over but Roman keeps him under control. Roman performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Roman controlling his opponent. Poole seems to have recovered his senses. Roman has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Poole's face.

Miyagi lets loose with a powerful body kick. Poole will feel that in the morning. Miyagi lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Poole takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Poole tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Poole tries to clinch but Miyagi is having none of it. Poole tries to clinch but Miyagi moves away and Miyagi counters with a left and a right that stings Poole. Poole thows a leg kick but Miyagi checks it and Miyagi counters with a nice low kick that buckles Poole's knee momentarily. Poole fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Kozlov's coach down at Cozad The Island was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Kozlov's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Kozlov can't get the takedown.
I was talking to Poole's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Kozlov goes for a takedown attempt but Poole pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Stacey Poole has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yevgeni Kozlov. Poole looks for a takedown here. Will he get it?
