#R1# John will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. DeLeon lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. DeLeon lands a nice hook to John's body. John takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. John with a poor takedown and DeLeon counters with a three punch combo that has John backing up. John nods at DeLeon to acknowledge the strikes. DeLeon misses with a double jab
#TD2# and John decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in DeLeon's guard. John sitting in guard, not really doing much. John won't allow DeLeon to sweep him here. DeLeon wants to stand but John is controlling the position. #ES# DeLeon pushes John off and scrambles back to his feet.
Jim John seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! DeLeon's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and DeLeon duly obliges. #T1# John gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and DeLeon cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Donito DeLeon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jim John. John shoots in for a takedown but DeLeon shows good takedown defense. John takes a shot right to the bread basket. John shoots and misses and John takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. John looks winded! John has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from John there as he acknowledges the shot.#ROC# John is rocked! John gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! DeLeon points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. John wakes up just in time to hear DeLeon thank his coaches in the post fight interview.

#R1# Poduna misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.#TD2# John scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Poduna wants to improve his position but John is controlling well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. John working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Poduna tries to get to full guard but John has control of the leg. Poduna taking some punishment here, with John in his half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. John drops an elbow to the side of Poduna's head. John lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Poduna is staying active underneath John, who seems content to just control the action from this position. John lands with a punch from half guard. Poduna has his hands clasped together around John's back. He's all about the action. Poduna works his way to full guard. Good work. John stands up over Poduna, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Poduna is trying to control the position but John postures up. Poduna pulls John in close to his closed guard and prevents John from doing any damage or advancing position. John preventing the sweep. Poduna controls John momentarily but John frees himself. John must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.#T2# The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Poduna wants to sweep but no luck. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Poduna looking to sweep here. No luck so far. #REF3# The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Poduna shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says John as he avoids it easily. Jorgensen Poduna seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. John looks to land a right hand but Poduna moved out of range. Poduna tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but John swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jorgensen Poduna. That's going to take a lot out of him.#TD# Poduna throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. John was covering up waiting for the punch and Poduna finishes the takedown easily into guard. Poduna trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Poduna throws an elbow that misses. John uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Poduna's guard. Poduna is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Poduna is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. John looking to control the position here, rather than advance. John with a couple of shots to the head there. Nice move by Poduna!#REVR# Poduna trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Poduna accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Poduna wants to control from the top but John keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Poduna. John stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and John wants it to stay on the feet.#TD2# John is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Poduna's half guard. John lands strikes from half guard. Poduna manages to get to full guard.

He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
John avoids the attempt from Poduna to control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Poduna regains half guard. Jim John is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Poduna is trying to get back to full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Jim John comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well John has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

#R1# John uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Minko.
#TD# John gets the takedown into side control. Minko can't do much from the bottom here. Minko is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Check out the look on John's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
John in side control, just content to control the action for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Minko is working to avoid the ground and pound but John connects with a decent elbow. John scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Minko to see if he's OK.#T1# Minko tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but John presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! John lands a heavy elbow. John scoring with strikes but Minko is staying in there. #ROC# Minko is rocked!#SUB# John is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Minko is forced to tap! Great finish!
