Castaneda throws a combination that misses #TD2# so Krell counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Krell looking to control the position here, rather than advance. It looks like Krell might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Krell wants to pass the guard but Castaneda is keeping the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Krell showing good wrestling skills to control the position. #T1##SUB# Castaneda working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Krell doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Grover Castaneda. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Castaneda, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Krell content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Krell prevents Vaughn from standing back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Krell performing his best blanket impression for a moment. #T1##REF3# The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. A punch combination from Vaughn misses. #TD2# Krell bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Vaughn really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Krell remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. #T2# Let's hope that Krell has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. #R1##CL2# Jones gets a clinch. Krell is trying to drag Jones to the mat but Jones just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Jones lands a right hand. A short right from Jones on the inside. Jones lands a right hand that snaps the head of Krell backwards. Krell is breathing heavily. Krell goes for a takedown in the clinch but Jones prevents it.
