#R1# Lynch tries a head kick but it misses.
#CL2# Putin closes the distance and pushes Lynch back into the cage.#BC2# Putin breaks the clinch.
#TD2# Putin feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Putin seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. It looks like Putin might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Putin scoring with some ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Putin wants to get up but he can't break Lynch's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Lynch looking to control.
#T1# Putin tries to free his leg and advance position but Lynch is retaining full guard. Putin passes Lynch's left leg - he's now in half guard. Well, if Putin is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza Yum. Can't wait.
Putin lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Putin stalling. #T2# Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.#SUB2# Putin seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Lynch is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Vlademir Putin!
