#R1# Potter throws a left and a right that both miss
#TD2# and Deathgrip decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Potter's guard. Deathgrip is pushing down on Potter's leg trying to pass to half guard. Potter is fighting to maintain full guard but Deathgrip has managed to sneak the leg through.#SUB2# Deathgrip is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Potter doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Deathgrip. Deathgrip scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Deathgrip not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Deathgrip has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Deathgrip moves nicely into side control. Potter really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Potter is working to avoid the ground and pound but Deathgrip connects with a decent elbow. #SUB2# Deathgrip has hold of Potter's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Potter seems comfortable defending it but Deathgrip has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Potter is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Potter is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Deathgrip couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Fred Deathgrip!
