Boi won't allow Pugh to get back to his feet. Boi passes into half guard. Boi thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Pugh tries to roll over but Boi keeps him under control. Boi wants to control but Pugh is keeping him busy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Boi controlling the pace. Boi is pressing down on Pugh's thigh, looking to free his foot. Pugh is holding on for now. Boi frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Pugh knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Boi on the ground.#T1# Pugh tries to control the position but Boi now has his back.

#R1# Babineau looks to land a combination but Pugh avoids it well. Pugh misses the jab. Pugh really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Babineau goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Babineau scores with a jab. Pugh fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Babineau stuffs the takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Babineau showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Pugh.
And Babineau tries to counter it with a takedown but Pugh pushes his down on his head and steps out. Nice uppercut lands for Babineau. That snapped Pugh's head back.

Babineau throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pugh. Babineau leaves Pugh with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ezra Pugh. That's going to take a lot out of him. Babineau lands an overhand right. Pugh doesn't manage to clinch there - Babineau circles away.

Alexander Romanenko decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

He's managed to get a loose triangle. Grinnan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Grinnan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. #SUB# Pugh had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Grinnan defends it easily. Grinnan passes Pugh's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Grinnan seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Pugh postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.#SUB2# Buckeye has his foot on Pugh's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pugh pulls Van Zyl in close to prevent any damage. Van Zyl throws a strike but Pugh rolls with it and manages to sweep. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Van Zyl looks like he's trying to stand up.

You get the feeling that Pugh really doesn't like being in this position too much.
