Hamilton wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but French has him pressed against the cage.
Hamilton is working for takedown but French is calmly controlling the position for now.
Hamilton jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as French walks away with a smile on his face. Hamilton gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
French swats away the attempt to clinch by Hamilton.

Mont is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! French's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but French was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
