Mohammed Azir seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#CL2# Kiyasu clinches up with Azir and pushes him back against the cage. Kiyasu utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Azir drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
#BC2# Kiyasu pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#TD2# Kiyasu looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Azir! Azir bucks up and tries to throw Kiyasu off but instead Kiyasu has got his back! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!#SUB2# Kiyasu is cranking Azir's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Azir! He's tightened the choke and Azir is tapping out!

Azir misses with a series of wild punches.
Azir fails to land with a series of punches.
Crespo scores with a leg kick.
Crespo lands with a right hand. Azir throws a shot from downtown. Crespo moves away and avoids it. Azir throws a combination that misses #TD# and Crespo counters with a takedown into side control. Crespo controls the position. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.#SUB# Crespo has hold of Azir's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Azir tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Crespo cranks the arm and Azir screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Azir, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

#R1# Azir closes the distance looking to clinch and Kamiya makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Azir tries to clinch but Kamiya moves away and Kamiya makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Azir really felt that one! Azir tries to clinch but fails miserably and Kamiya counters with a nice leg kick. Azir misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kamiya ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Azir throws a left and a right that both miss
and Kamiya counters with a nice body shot. Azir looks winded! Azir drops his hands momentarily and Kamiya needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Azir just on the top of the head. Azir drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Azir - he's done!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Maki Kamiya! Maki Kamiya decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
