Vargas is looking to control Nurmagomedov's arms but Nurmagomedov gets an underhook and turns him. Now Vargas has his back to the cage.
Vargas misses with a short punch on the inside.
Vargas drops down looking for an ankle pick but Nurmagomedov pulls his leg out and moves away.

Vargas throws a leg kick
and Silva counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Vargas looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Silva is fending him off so far but Vargas persists. Nope, Silva circles away and we're back to standing.
Silva shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Vargas eats them both and turns towards Silva to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

and Silva makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Vargas drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Vargas seems to have locked his on tight now - Silva screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Vargas, as he picks up the win!

Vargas has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Jones should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Vargas has tightened it up now! Jones should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Vargas has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Jones is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Vargas yanks on the arm and Jones is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Vargas.
