#TD# Mcgowan is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Kostic can't fight it off and eventually Mcgowan manages to take the fight to the floor. Kostic looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Kostic is trying to keep Mcgowan in close.
Mcgowan wants to stand but Kostic has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Mcgowan postures up in Kostic's guard and throws a big left but Kostic blocks it. #SU# Mcgowan stands up from Kostic's guard - Mcgowan perhaps looking for a knockout. Kostic throws a sloppy head kick #CL# and Mcgowan counters by moving into the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Kostic has Mcgowan pressed against the cage, preventing Mcgowan from circling away and getting back to striking at range.#BC2# Kostic breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. #CL2# Mcgowan gets tackled into the cage by Kostic. Kostic maintains the clinch. #TD2# Kostic pulls guard effortlessly. Mcgowan lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.#T1# Mcgowan lands a couple of decent looking shots.#SUB2# Mcgowan avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Mcgowan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Mcgowan distracts Kostic with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Mcgowan trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mcgowan would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. #SU# Mcgowan gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. #CL2# Kostic has Mcgowan up against the cage in a clinch.
Mcgowan lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Kostic or not. #BC2# Kostic breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
#TD2# Kostic throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Mcgowan tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kostic is in Mcgowan's guard.#SUB# Mcgowan isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Kostic stacks Mcgowan on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Kostic!#T2# Mcgowan tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kostic wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mcgowan wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Mcgowan is trying to improve his position. Kostic is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Mcgowan's shoulder. That is not cool. Kostic gets to mount! Mcgowan was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Mcgowan really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Kostic thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. #SUB2# Kostic is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Kostic tries to stand and escape but Mcgowan actually recovers to full guard. #T4# There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.#SUB# Kostic avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kostic not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Kostic trying to control the action but Mcgowan is working from the bottom. #SU2# Kostic decides to return to a standing position. #TD2# Kostic closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mcgowan to the mat! Mcgowan manages to get full guard. #T2##SUB# Mcgowan is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kostic is aware though and is defending well. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.#SUB# Mcgowan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kostic can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Mcgowan has momentary wrist control but Kostic slips an elbow through the middle.#SUB# Mcgowan is looking for a triangle but Kostic pushes his legs off easily.
Kostic wants to control from the top but Mcgowan keeps moving. #T3# A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kostic accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Kostic trying to control but Mcgowan is working from the bottom. #REF3# The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.#TD2# Kostic closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kostic lands in his opponent's guard.#SUB# Mcgowan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kostic gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Kostic chips away with some ground and pound.#T4# Kostic slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Kostic looking to sit in guard and control but Mcgowan gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. #REVR# Mcgowan preventing the sweep. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kostic wants to get back to his feet but Mcgowan is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Mcgowan is looking to work some ground and pound but Kostic has wrist control. Kostic bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mcgowan's guard. #REVB# And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marinko Kostic showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round! #R3# Mcgowan throws a head kick but Kostic moves out of range.
A head kick by Mcgowan misses #TD2# so Kostic counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Kostic wants to control from the top but Mcgowan keeps moving. Mcgowan is looking to stand back up but Kostic counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Mcgowan. Mcgowan pushes Kostic off looking to stand but Kostic dives back in and keeps control.

Kostic looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. #T3# Kostic takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Kostic scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Kostic is keen to just control but Mcgowan is a slippery customer. Kostic is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Kostic stops Mcgowan from getting back to his feet.

Mcgowan is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Kostic asserts his dominance and retains side control. Son Mcgowan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
