Kozlov shoots for a double leg takedown but Babakov sprawls well. He's pushed Kozlov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Kozlov working hard to break the clinch. Kozlov is working for takedown but Babakov is calmly controlling the position for now. Sergei Babakov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Babakov is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Babakov stops a takedown attempt from Kozlov.

Babakov is not content to let Kozlov control the position. #T3# Kozlov creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Babakov sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Kozlov trying to control the action but Babakov is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kozlov works to advance to full mount. Babakov defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. #T4# The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.#SUB2# Kozlov looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.#SUB2# Kozlov is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Babakov has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Kozlov trying to control but he's not successful this time. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kozlov doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Nice straight punches there by Babakov. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Babakov. Babakov connects with a nice looking jab.
Babakov scores with a one two! Kozlov had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. #ROC# Kozlov is rocked! Kozlov with a poor takedown #CL# and Babakov moves into the clinch. Kozlov is still on wobbly legs! Can Babakov finish him? Babakov gets through Kozlov's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. I was talking to Babakov's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kozlov's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Babakov lands a right hand. Babakov creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Kozlov with a big uppercut! Kozlov tries to clinch up but Babakov pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Kozlov to the mat! Kozlov covers up and Babakov unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

#R1# Kozlov stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Takashi. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Takashi.
Kozlov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Takashi tries to avoid it but Kozlov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Takashi to the ground. Takashi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Kozlov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Takashi lands with a right hand. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Takashi.
#TD# Kozlov shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Takashi napping and manages to drive through into side control! Takashi bucks up and tries to throw Kozlov off but instead Kozlov has got his back! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!#SUB# Takashi fending off the submission attempt from Kozlov. #SUB# Kozlov looking to break Takashi's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Takashi remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Kozlov will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!#SUB# Kozlov working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Takashi is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Kozlov has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Takashi taps out!

#R1# Kozlov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mitchell's waist but Mitchell gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kozlov off to one side. Kozlov misses with a takedown and Mitchell counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Kozlov looks for a takedown but Mitchell sprawls well. Mitchell has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yevgeni Kozlov. That's going to take a lot out of him. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Mitchell lands with a thumping leg kick.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mitchell tries to break the clinch but Kozlov is controlling the position. That's going to take a lot out of Yevgeni Kozlov. Kozlov gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Vrinceanu counters with a monster head kick that knocks Kozlov out cold!
